ROSS Award
HUD is excited to announce the Thomson Housing Authority has been awarded partial funding in the amount of $202,250 under the Fiscal Year (FY) 2017 Resident Opportunity & Self Sufficiency (ROSS) Competition. A total of $202,250 became available through HUD’s efforts to recapture funds from prior ROSS grants. The Thomson Housing Authority application was eligible for FY17 ROSS funding but did not receive an award (in 2018) due to lack of available funds. Applications were rated and selected for funding based on selection criteria contained in the NOFA. Award funds are available for supportive services and resident empowerment activities. Service Coordinators link program participants with the supportive services needed to achieve self-sufficiency or remain independent.
The grant period runs from October 1, 2020 to September 30, 2023. The Thomson Housing Authority is preparing to fill the ROSS Coordinator position quickly to jumpstart the grant process. Internal applicants are encouraged to make application by 5 pm Friday, October 2nd, 2020. East Georgia Housing Authority Partners is an equal opportunity employer.
